Education in Saint Lucia
Saint Lucia, an eastern-Caribbean island and former British colony (with a strong French-Creole cultural heritage), runs an English-language, British-based education system (French Creole, Kwéyòl, is widely spoken). Public education is free, and the country uses the regional CXC examinations.
